Influence of health insurance providers on medical practice and patient experience
Abstract
This study analyzes the influence of health insurance providers on medical practice and patient
experience in Brazil, the United States, and Europe. It discusses reimbursement models, clinical
autonomy, access to care, user satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness. The results indicate that different
contractual and regulatory arrangements shape the physician–patient relationship and equity in access
to services. The financial sustainability of healthcare systems must be reconciled with the bioethical
principles of autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice. The analysis highlights the need for
medical practices and management policies that ensure quality, transparency, and patient-centered care.
