Audiovisual resources on the ethical processing of research in Brazil
Abstract
Considering that the ethical processing of projects is essential for the integrity of research, the aim was
to characterize audiovisual resources with guidelines on the submission of projects for ethical appraisal
in Brazil, by means of bibliographical and documentary research, using the descriptors ethical review;
Conep; research ethics committees; Plataforma Brasil; and information guide. The search was carried
out in databases and on YouTube, the channel of the National Research Ethics Commission and those
linked to universities. The analysis criteria were type of material, date, dissemination channel and
institution. In total, 1,867 resources were found, 46 of which were eligible for analysis, of which 8 were
written materials and 37 instructional videos, totaling around 26h40 of content, ranging from 257 to
60 thousand views. Informative videos stand out among the resources that guide Brazilian researchers
in submitting projects to Research Ethics Committees.
