Abstract

This article seeks to resume the reflection about ethics from a universal point of view and to discuss particular questions, referring to medical ethics, bioethics and the Brazilian reality, as well. In the more specific field of health ethics, topics like modalities of scientific studies, public health policies, and medicines advertising stand out. Relating philosophical ethics and health ethics, there is a wider basis for reflective and creative actions that have an important role in the social
process.
